On January 1st, 2020, when Palmer Johnson added Hamilton Engine and their team to our family, we were pretty excited to get Mr. Andy Telford as part of the acquisition. While I know Andy would say that it’s everyone else at Hamilton that had made them successful, he would be modest because they would not be where they are today without him.

Over the last year, I’ve gotten to know Andy pretty well. He has an extreme passion for helping customers and cares greatly about the team at Hamilton Engine. These two things could not align better with PJ’s core values of “we care about our customers” and “we care about our people.” Due to that alignment, Andy has been extremely helpful in making the integration as seamless as possible for Hamilton customers and employees throughout the process. I think that’s the best thing you can hope for in any business transition - limited interruption for your customers and happy employees.

In August of 2020, Andy celebrated 20 years of devoted service to Hamilton Engine and our customers. Andy joined Hamilton as a parts person, moved into a sales role, and eventually took over as General Manager. While Andy’s anniversary was in August, we weren’t able to formally celebrate until later in the year. To celebrate his 20 years, I presented Andy with a commemorative decanter.

I look forward to using that decanter for some celebratory bourbon that we can all enjoy at his 25th anniversary and beyond! Congrats, and thank you, Andy Telford!
